Dear Friends and Collectors,
Please receive my kindest greetings.
As many of you know, beautifully dramatic changes have taken place in my galleries over the past two years. I have completed the build out and restocking of Vail Fine Art Gallery in my new flagship location in the amazing Solaris building in Vail, Colorado. It is in the same location as my original flagship gallery of 22 years, but in the newly constructed Solaris building.
I am consolidating my galleries in the Vail/Beaver Creek area into one gorgeous, four-thousand square foot gem of light, color and comfort. I have installed the newest technology in lighting, I have more masterpieces than ever before, and I have comfortable chairs on carefully chosen and colorful Persian rugs. I want you to feel elegant, yet comfortable as you visit my galleries, and I have gone to great lengths to make this a reality. My thought here is to produce understated elegance for your enjoyment, just as you are accustomed to in your home.
The changes of these last two years have been somewhat disruptive and the economy has been challenging. However, things have worked out well and I am proud to say we are here, and grateful to have already welcomed many of you back to the gallery. We are anticipating seeing many more of you in the future. We have had a nice beginning to our summer season and are delighted that our new artists are being accepted so well.
Our website is being totally updated and it will have many new features. It will include a blog so that we can communicate and it will have more photos and educational videos to delight your senses, and increase your art knowledge.
We have a wonderful and knowledgeable gallery staff and stunning museum quality artworks to add to your collection. In my extensive travels I have found an entirely new group of extremely well trained and creative artists. I like them so much I have their artworks in my own personal collection. Most of my artists have agreed in advance to paint artworks in specific sizes and configurations to match your wall space.
In choosing art for the gallery, most of you know that I prefer Impressionistic pieces based on the original style called French Impressionism. I choose French Impressionism based art because it takes real skill and creativity to produce them. The artist must keep in mind color, composition, style of brushstroke, and drama so that skill and emotions together form a memorable piece of art, to bring life to the interior of your home. Many are landscapes, but others are Impressionistic portraits that give amazing insight into the subject of the portrait, called ‘the sitter.’
Each of the artists I choose is collectible for one or more specific reasons. I carefully weigh the artist’s training, natural skill and personal drive to be the best as my basic criteria for introducing them to you, the collector. If I wouldn’t collect it myself, I wouldn’t offer it to you as a collector.
Please follow my blog, which you can get on my website. Ask any questions you like, but mainly come in and enjoy the art in person, in the heart of the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains.
